Event 161 : Tammana at PEC fest – Cramp it Up

NGO Tammana, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to public health awareness, set up an innovative health-educational stall at PEC Fest as part of its 161st Event, ‘Cramp it up!’

This event focused on breaking taboos around Period, while also spreading awareness around Mental Health, Breast Cancer and Cervical Cancer. Revolutionary period pain simulator allowing men to experience and understand menstrual cramps firsthand with an interactive period pain simulation experience, fostering empathy and understanding across gender lines was the key highlights of this event. It created an environment where men & women can learn, understand, and support each other’s health challenges.” shared Founder President of the NGO, Isha Kakaria.

In the comprehensive breast cancer and cervical awareness campaign set up managed by NGO volunteers, Interactive & informative knowledge sharing by the healthcare professional from Fortis, who partnered with the NGO further enhanced the productivity behind the event.

“This unique approach to health awareness breaks down barriers and creates meaningful conversations about mental health issues too,” said Parul Malik, NGO team member, who dedicated her time for mental health at the event.

Event SPOC, Neha Joshi, emphasized upon the importance of such initiatives: “This health awareness stall by NGO Tammana educated and empowered our attendees.

The innovative approach taken by the NGO in addressing these crucial health issues generated significant interest among the fest attendees, particularly the period pain simulator which is helping bridge the empathy gap.” The guidance was well received and appreciated by one and all.
